Inching close and closer to completing the complete line up Toyota vehicles. @lundquist in the house! His #rt62 is pretty much the only one that I could even find on Instagram, so by default he gets to represent the first-generation Corona MKII sedan.
Remember me? It's been a minute or two since I had time to illustrate, but I need to get this Toyota project wrapped up and with only a few left I guess I'm back. Found this rare MX12 on 8EX's YouTube account. Crusty cool!
Variant number 247 illustrated out of 260 in my Toyota project. Today we've got a jolly green coupe owned by @kumaking23 over in Japan somewhere, I think.
I'm digging deeper and deeper to finish my project to illustrate every Toyota to hit our shores. Number 194 on my list is the second-generation Corona MKII wagon. This is a rare car, but @j.t.rex doesn't let that slow him down. Perfect patina, some pro-street-style staggered wheels and the appropriate stance, but only those in the know would turn their heads and that's how he likes it.
As I start getting down to the last hundred Toyotas to finish my project I'm finding it harder and harder to find owners of the rarer models. You don't get too much rarer than a 1st-gen Corona MKII wagon, but i was able to dig up @macho_tech and his super clean grocery getter. Bonus points for the immaculate 22-RE under the hood!
I can read almost nothing on @kohei_sprinter's IG because it's almost all in Japanese. He's that legit. He lives in Japan's Aichi Prefecture, which is conveniently home of Toyota City where I imagine everything has the Toyota badge on it. His little Mark 2 coupe is super clean and looks to be original. Swing over to his Instagram page to sample a nice selection of authentic Japanese delight.
