Number 219 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota variant sold in the US, meet the identical twin of our friend the 100-series Land Cruiser. Follow this LX470, and it's many friends, explore California's forests over on the Instagram of @_working_classoverland.
Check the RAV4 from the list. Four generations, six variants, all done. The soft top was only offered at the tail end of 1998 and through 1999, and being so rare I simply couldn't find ANYONE that actually owned one and posted photos of it. I spent longer searching than I did drawing!
Number 213 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota, Lexus and Scion ever sold in the US. Just seven Lexii left on my list after completing @mattmatuszak_sucks's second-gen ES. I've always thought that this was by far the most handsome early Lexus design and Matt isn't standing still... I like his third-gen front bumper conversion, football-lace-style!
Last week @booby1178 won the Sneak Peek and earned a free illustration of his beautiful C280. You could win your own art by guessing at the daily Sneak Peek showing a clue of the following day's illustration. Can't seem to win? My $100 commission fee includes a high-quality photo print suitable for framing (up to 13x19" / US S&H inc). Check my bio for more info.
Eight Lexus model variants left to illustrate now that I've finished @andynotwarhol_'s ES250. I usually choose modified cars to draw, but there just aren't that many first-generation ESs to choose from so I went with the cleanest one I could find.
Wagon envy. I have it. I've only owned one wagon in my life and I only drive it a few times, so I have this itch that needs to be scratched. Thanks @a_guy_and_his_e34 for letting me pretend for a little while.
Nine Lexii left after this one to complete my quest to illustrate all 261 Toyota variations sold in the US. I've had @mikkel.jpeg's SC sitting on my desktop for a couple of months now, but something would always pop up before I could get to it. Well, wait no more. This is the sweetest first-gen SC I've ever seen. Go to his IG and check out the spindle grill conversion that he masterfully integrated.
One Cressy, Two Cressy, White Cressy, Blue Cressy. Ask @fluffmastah why he doesn't have three, but I guess two is good enough.
